I’ve wondered this for so long, since they say we as adults should wear daily sunscreen shouldnt babies and toddlers? All they make is that sticky spf 50+ stuff which of course I put on if we are out in the sun, at the pool etc. Do they make or suggest a lower less sticky spf for daily wear?

You can use it after the baby’s first bath. Make sure you dont bath your newborn everyday they have sensitive skin that can become dried out easily, so daily bathing is not recommended for young infants. Bathing your newborn a few times a week will be good enough

I really like Aveeno Baby- it is more natural than Johnson’s and gentle on baby!

No, any soap unless it has moisturizer in it can cause even more drying. Also not good to get any soap in the eyes.

is this yet another controversy? What do they say to do instead of sunscreen? What’s wrong with sunscreen?

I probably won’t let him have a whole lot of contact with the baby but it is kind of inevitable so I want to make sure that the flea shampoo I use is safe if some how my baby touches it. I also would like to know about some at home remedies for de-worming a cat her current owner says she is fine but I want to be sure.

I’m in the UK, and while I know it’s not exactly summer weather, and I know it’s late in the day, I’m taking my 5mth old to the park. I’ve covered him up with long sleeves and a hat, I just thought I would ask for future reference which actual BRAND of sun cream would be good to use?
Do babies need their own specific cream, or can you use adult sunscreen?
Please only answers with brand names, not spf levels – I know that he would need AT LEAST spf 30. The answers I’m looking for here are really about which specific creams do/do not work best.
Also, I would appreciate no answers saying “keep them out the sun altogether” – I am taking massive precautions, and I think it is extremely important for my child to be exposed to nature from an early age rather than cooped up in a flat all day.

I called my babygirls pediatrician. She is 11 days old, and her little face is breaking out. Over the phone she said it is baby acne. She told me to clean her face, and apply baby lotion.
But in my mind baby lotion would make it worse.
Just wondering what to do for the baby acne, and if you would put baby lotion on or not?
