my son is 2 months and his face skin little bit dry…so im thinking to put Johnson cream/lotion, such like sorbolen, but im afraid it will give allergic to his skin…or any advice for another cream/lotion?

They make an unscented, alcohol free, water based moisturizer. Use that, VERY sparingly, and make sure that it’s rubbed in well, so they don’t rub their face, and get it in their eyes.
If the skin gets chapped, I used a small amount of vasoline.
I wouldn’t recommend it unless its Baby Johnson lotion. My son has really bad skin also and my doctor prescribed hydrocortisone cream for him. You can get it had Wal-mart without a prescription. Just watch him until it dries because it can be kind of creamy. Another thing that helped my son is Aveeno Baby. I would try one of those before giving him something that isn’t recommended for a baby. There skin is just to sensitive to put just anything on.
Im not sure about the exact cream you are talking about, but a lot of the baby creams and lotions have tons of added scents in them which are really bad for the baby.
if your baby needs some moisturizing just make sure to choose something unscented and very mild. you have to make sure it really is fragrance free. sometimes the front label will say something misleading that may make you think it’s fragrance free, but if you turn the bottle over and read the ingredients you will see “fragrance” listed as an ingredient.
choose something with as few ingredients as possible. I really like to use the cetaphil (or store brand version-it’s exactly the same) moisturizer and cleanser. I just put a squirt of the cleanser in the bath water. I dont lather their skin with it. perhaps that could be part of your baby’s problem with the dry skin. you dont really need to use soap at all, and if you do use soap you should literally just use one squirt in the tub and mix it around. they really need those oils on their skin to keep it nice and soft. I have always followed this regimen for my kids and I have never needed to use lotion on them.
I have used the lotion on both of my boy’s faces when they were infants and did not have any problem, but some people may be allergic, use sparingly to test.
It is important to keep his face moisturized, just like an adult… too dry and it is not comfortable
good luck
no vasaline…too greasy and too thick
yes it is all skin. i do with my baby but i honestley like that parents choice 100 percent petroleum free jelly in the blue and white tube. it takes dryness right out. i havent used the johnsons soothing naturals skin balm but i would like to. i hear that is good for extra dry spots on your babies skin. just do not put lotion or baby oil in your baby’s hair! if your baby has dry scalp was him with johnsons moisture care.
If it’s for baby’s it should be fine… I think Aveno baby is the BEST line… but everyone likes something different.
vaseline is hypoallergenic. or, try clinique. it is too. CONGRATS!
baby oil by Johnson and Johnson use lightly
yea johnsons is pretty much for little kids like johnsons baby oil put it on while taking him a shower..and go in the baby section of any store and they have lotion for new borns
good luck
I put baby lotion on my bay’s face and it got worse. Ask your baby’s pediatrician or doctor.
I wouldn’t risk it without a call to the doc.
try vaseline first – this is probably the best thing to do..
)
after that try johnsons!
