I can’t afford to toss them all (which was my first thought!). We have been invaded by these nasty critters this year (first time ever!) …so i am at a loss as to how to get them clean enough to use again. I will NOT put them in my kitchen sink til they’re clean! What do i do??? It’s mouse urine, too.
I’m killing them as fast as i can & they keep making more babies!

If they got to your sauce pans there’s a very good chance they were on your counter tops and sink as well! Mice roam everywhere at night and they are incontinent- they constantly leak a little urine where ever they go- it’s their way of finding their way back home and identifying one another. You whole kitchen needs to be cleaned and sanitised – not just the pans.I came home one night to find one sitting on my kettle and another in the sink.you need to block all the holes they’re getting in with steel wool.
Do you have a dishwasher? Most of the new ones have a sanitize setting that uses extremely hot water to clean (it takes longer to run a sanitize cycle though because you have to wait for it to heat the water to the proper temperature). I’d recommend this if you have it.
Soak them with some dish soap and a little Clorox in the water. The Clorox will kill all the germs.
ammonia
boil water in them…
clorox kills everything… do that….
