How Do I Remove Bile Smell From My Dog’s Ear?

My dog vomited bile and some got on her ear. I bathed her this morning with baby shampoo and dog conditioner. I lathered and rinsed twice, but the smell of bile is still faintly present. Any ideas on how to remove the odor? She is an 8 year old beagle, with floppy ears.

put her in the bathtub and push warm soapy water in her ear. Then let her shake it out when you’re drying her.
your vet should have a solution which is typcally used to remove the smell of anal glands, but it works well for ears as well.
but – you can also try using diapers wipes if the smell isn’t too bad
You could gently clean her ear with a cotton ball dampened with hydrogen peroxide. I hope your dog isn’t sick. Maybe she just ate some grass and vomited. My dogs like to do that and they are not sick.
At pet supply stores they sell pre-moistened pads with special cleaning solution for dogs’ ears. They are only about $5 for a container of 60 pads. This stuff works pretty well for ear wax, gunk, etc., so I imagine it would work on bile, too. Be sure to clean thoroughly, but don’t get too far down in the ear canal, or you will hurt your dog. Be sure to give a biscuit after!
Tomatoe juice/sauce works for removing the smell of a skunk spray – perhaps that type of home remedy will help. Good luck! Hope your doggy feels better!
I would try some 1/2 diluted vinegar
Don’t worry about the smell, worry more about why she was sick. Bathing a dog with shampoo only removes the natural oil in their coats. Answer 2. don’t sniff her ears, she is a dog.
take her to the vet to check it out, or go to a professional groomer and tell them whats going on.
There are simple 3 steps ear cleaners for dogs. They can be bought at any local pet store.Just follow the directions on the bottles and the smell should go away. Good luck.
take her to the vet she has something wrong with her. She got some type of an infection.
