Are there any brands that actually state they’re gentle enough for everyday use? Are kids/babies shampoos the best option?

Personally I love the Dove Baby.
I second the recommendation that you look at http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/special…
It is great.
The best I have used are the California Baby Super Sensitive products. Also, the plain Cetaphil (fragrance free) is very nice and gentle. I bathe my 5 month old every night.
HappyThoughts had some good advice. I use Planet brand detergent, and it is nice. California Baby makes a good sunblock. I also use Seventh Generation diapers because they are fragrance/latex/chlorine free (huggies and pampers give my baby a diaper rash because of all the extra chemicals).

I find Johnson and Johnson to be a good brand for the kids
You aren’t supposed to bathe babies everyday, it dries out their skin.
I give my children a bath every day, but I only use soaps every other day unless necessary. It dries out their skin too much when they are very small. There are many mild and gentile formulas. I use Aveeno baby bath and soaps. They are very gentle. Good luck.
You can wash with just water if it’s often. Buying a natural castile (olive oil) soap would be most gentle for when you do use soap. California Baby brand is good too. J&J is NOT gentle it just has painkillers in is so if it hurts them they aren’t in pain.
Johnsons. Its been around and widely used for years. Its the best. I bet that most of use here had our tiny heads washed with it when we were babies, so why not use it on our kids.
Never settle for the look-a-like imitations at most stores, they are not gentle and I don’t trust them on any baby. They’re only good to use as dog or puppy shampoo.
baby johnson shampoo is very gentle lorell shampoo and condintioner 2 in 1 does not state that its gentel but it is good for every day use and hello hydration is also good for every day use
Johnson and Johnson
Huggies
These two are the ones I use. They are very gentle as they are made for children.
My kids have super sensitive skin. Here’s what we’ve used with no problems:
Aveeno creamy bath wash – for babies and kids, body wash
Johnsons baby bath/shampoo for baby and kid hair (this was a little too drying for my babies’ skin, but okay for hair)
Buddies hair conditioner for toddler/kid
Aveeno baby or adult sensitive skin lotion for after bath
Vaseline for all over body moisture after bath or just whenever.
A doctor recommended the vaseline because it can’t hurt them if they get it in their eyes or mouths. I use store brand vaseline, very cheap, but I accidentally bought “nursery petroleum jelly” which had a strong baby fragrance in it.
Sunblocks: Pure Zinc (which isn’t pure zinc, but that’s the name), Blue Lizard, and anything with no fragrance. No sunblock on babies under six months unless absolutely necessary. I used my Oil of Olay face lotion for sensitive skin once when I needed to.
Oh, and stay away from dyes and fragrance in clothes detergent. There are tons of brands, you don’t need special baby detergent. Dryer sheets are even worse for baby’s skin, so don’t use those until you know baby is okay with it, at least three months old.
Good luck!!
I bathe my son every night, it is part of our routine. Plus I feel like between the diapers, spitting up, crawling around, he should get bathed every day! I use Aveeno products. My son has sensitive skin and also I like them because they have less harmful chemicals than other brands. Go to http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com for a listing of safe products. It is really useful, someone else on here suggested it and I love it. It rates on a scale of 0-9 harmful chemicals.
