I didn’t know there where so many lotions, deodorants, oils, and even sunscreens. I thought it was just one type of skin so soft lotion or something. so I needed to know which one is safe to use on/around my one month old. I heard i cant put it on him until 2 months but the only thing im worried about right now is all the ants getting in his crib. i read online that Avon’s skin so soft bath oil mixed with water kills them or at least keep them away but i don’t know if its safe to use around him. Then there’s a skin so soft sunscreen that has picaridin (which is the ingredient that makes it ok to use on 2month old’s and older) but idk if it kills or keeps away the ants. Plz help

Everyone asks me for some reason what is the purpose of life and I have to say its really simple, “to stay alive.” My friends laughed at me and some of you might as well think I’m crazy or have no empirical evidence but the evidence is all around us.
Our bodies are able to heal, remove waste and most importantly is governed by a powerful organ the brain. While many religious scholars, scientists, astronomers may argue with me that we will never know that is completely callous.
Even the most uneducated and ignorant individual if asked whats important to them they will say, “Staying young and watching the world evolve.” While maybe not expressed in those words, if the purpose was not to stay alive than why do the things we do today if ultimately we are to pass away?
There are many species right now that can reverse the aging process and start from scratch all over again and continue in an never ending cycle.
The purpose of death was to me understood as a natural process but to me it is not. If it was a natural process than the need for conception/offspring would not exist. In other words, we have no choice but to multiply because our bodies can not as of now withstand the radicals that are continuously bombarding our bodies.
The oxygen ironically that gives us life is actually in the long run killing us because it produces radicals that harm our internal organs. So does that mean we need to stop breathing less? Most likely as crazy as it sounds. The sun also plays an important role, the radiation we receive now is ten times more potent than decades ago and only because we have inventions like sunscreen, technology and buildings that cover us from its harm are we able to withstand it.
We are actually in a point of life where couples are having less babies, homosexuality is on the rise, marriages are failing and everyone is becoming more and more self conscious of themselves.
From plastic surgery to make us look younger externally to medication that helps heal our bodies we are at a point where the life expectancy is rising in certain parts of the world.
Now you may ask,”well if we reach perfection billions of years from now where death only occurs because of external actions what would be the purpose than?”
My answer would stay the same in this case we would ultimately be beings that can not reproduce and only of few of us would be left until ultimately only one or maybe no one is left.
Our ending as a species is a sad one but its the truth. Imagine being the last perfect being to glide around the universe unmatched.
So its time for humanity to wake up here is the purpose of life answered so what changes are you going to make now that going to help yourself and other stay alive?

I’m very, very pale and I want to stay that way. But I might be out in the sun a lot during the summer. I’m a girl and I’ll be wearing bikinis, so a lot of skin will be exposed. Is there any other way besides using sunscreen/sunblock that is healthy and works to stay pale? And, if my only option is sunscreen, what is the best kind to use to not get tan? And what number is best? I’ve seen 15, 30, and 45… I think we have 45 spf (or whatever the letter combination is) Water Babies stuff…
Thanks for the help =)

We took a trip to the zoo today, as it was the first super warm day we’ve had in NE Ohio so far (mid-80’s). Before leaving for the hour-long drive, we slathered everyone – including our 14-month-old daughter – in sunscreen. Upon our arrival at the zoo, we noticed that she had developed a rash. It seemed to be mostly on her shins, the backs of her hands and her shoulders. It did not appear on the backs of her legs, her trunk/torso/back, or her face. The bumps were small and red and very slightly raised. It *looked* like a heat rash, but I wasn’t sure. We had her in cool, light colored clothing and blasted the AC in the car on the way there, and otherwise made every effort to insure her comfort. The sunscreen we put on her is one approved for babies six months of age and older, and she has worn it many times in the past with no issues. Based on the pictures below, does it look like a heat rash? Could she be having a sudden allergic reaction to the sunscreen? Does it look like something else entirely? I did notice that whenever we went somewhere cooler, it seemed to dissipate somewhat. Regardless, it is not bothering her in the least – she isn’t itchy, doesn’t seem uncomfortable, and is acting completely normal. We will be calling the pediatrician Monday, even if the rash is gone by then.http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e94/ba…http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e94/ba…http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e94/ba…
I appreciate any insight anyone can give me. Thanks!

My hubby and I have decided that our son would get to open his presents on Christmas like normal but not get to play with them that day. Our son has put sunscreen on his bathroom floor, torn wall paper off of a wall, broke and ornament and didn’t tell anybody while leaving glass on the living room floor and lied about it when we tried to figure out where the glitter came from (big no no when there is a baby in the house), and a few other things. Taking his toys away and no tv and the normal things just don’t seem to be working. My hubby wanted me to take all the toys back but I suggested this. Now I told my mom and she said ok without any problems with it what so ever. BUT MIL on the other hand paused for a few seconds and said ok but then would not say anything else afterwards on her way out the door. I just want to ask her what she would have us do but I have seen the products of her parenting and really don’t think her parenting style would do any good what so ever. Do you guys think it’s too mean? What would you have done? Have any of you done anything similar? I see it as it’s not like he doesn’t get anything, and really there is no law saying that we as parents even have to buy Christmas presents for our kids so it’s not like he’s being deprived. He gets EVERYTHING he needs and then some.

Sorry in advance to the baby names contacts…
I’m not sure how intense this is, or if I’m just a serious wimp when it comes to sunburn… Three weeks ago, a group of youth from my church went to Colorado to do some work projects for people there. The first project we did was painting a house…
I’ve been taking some medication stuff for my face (via pills), and one of the major side effects is sunburn. So, I managed to intensely burn my face, ears, and half of my hands during the painting job even though I used massive amounts of sunscreen (as in I would put more on every half hour or so because I could feel myself burning and didn’t want that).
So, that was three weeks ago… my face and ears have mostly gone through all of the peeling and painful stage, and are relatively back to normal… but my hands (only the thumb halves on both of my hands are burnt for some reason) are still extremely red and swollen and sensitive. I can move them and everything and it’s relatively not painful unless I try to clench my fists. They’ve also peeled, several times, and are continuing to peel…still. Anything “sharp” that touches them is intensified by means of pain… For example, I’ll be trying to write with a pen / pencil and school and will touch my hand with the little clip on the edge meant to hold the writing utensil to paper… So it mostly just burns and feels like my hands have been cut or something. Also, I usually can’t even bear being outside in the sun because of it… Any sunlight or even warmth irritates the sunburn and makes it burn extremely… I’ve tried covering them, but that makes the burning hurt even more.
People who have seen them have told me to go to the doctor, but my parents won’t take me because of money… My mom did call the doctor and asked him what to do for it…he said just to use aloe vera stuff and lotion, which I’ve been doing constantly for the past 3 weeks.
So, I’m not sure how easy it is to diagnose someone over just trying to read symptoms from text, but is this something I should look in to more or should I just keep trying to wait it out?
Thanks!
