I know that fleas are very dangerous for the babies. I didn’t find out until Patches was already pg that she had fleas, so I couldn’t use anything on her or it would have gotten to the babies. Now the kittens, mommy, and their bed are full of fleas. The babies are a week old. How can I get rid of them without harming any of them? I don’t want to lose them because of flea infestation. Please help! I only have about $10 until this weekend, so I can’t get very much. And I don’t have a flea comb. Can I get a flea comb, comb the babies, and dip the comb in a bowl of water with soap to kill the fleas? What can I use on Patches so it won’t harm the babies when they crawl all over her? I can wash the bed in hot water, but not until they are all treated. I am very concerned and plan to call the vet tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone can help me. I also have another adult cat with fleas that doesn’t go around the babies and I do plan to get her treated right away.

Any ideas on how to kill the flea eggs? (pref best possible solution befor taking them to vet)

These poor kittens were left in a cardboard box by the mailboxes. We took them in and I’ve noticed they all have black specks on them. I haven’t found any actual fleas, but I’m wondering if flea eggs are black? I’ve researched how to kill fleas in very small kittens, and everyone says to use either dawn dish soap, or baby soap. So I’ll give them a bath tomorrow before trying to find them a home. Thanks for any input.

My husband found 2 abandoned kittens – they’re under 3 days old, we can tell because they still have the umbilical cord partially attached. We’ve been feeding them kitten formula, and no animal shelters will take them because it is too “labor intensive”.
Can anyone offer my any tips on how to help these 2 little guys stay alive until we find a surrogate mother somehow?
They’re currently in a box laying on blankets and towel, and have a heating pad underneath the towels. We’ve also been helping them poop.
But on their skin, there are some weird yellow-white patches that resemble itty bitty pieces of rice. It’s dry feeling, and it’s not maggots because it isn’t moving. Possibly fly eggs? How can I take care of this problem?
We’ve tried rubbing them down with baby soap and warm wash cloths with no luck. It didn’t remove whatever it is.
I’m in Shepherd, TX if anyone has a female cat who could possibly surrogate.

When I first got my kitten they told me wash her with baby shampoo, but for some reason I lost the bottle. So yesterday I bought some shampoo that is actually for kids but still is ‘no tears’ formula. Its mild and wont burn her eyes. Is that ok to use?
