I was told that it can be harmful to a baby boy to use lavendar scented lotion. Is this true? If so, what are the effects.

Just curious. People swore by it and gave it as a gift to me before my son was born. And I didn’t believe it, but when I put it on him after a bath, he doesn’t go to sleep quicker, but he stays asleep longer … what about you?
He’s now 6 months old now.
