My daughter is almost 5 months old and drools constantly. Her chin and cheeks have become very chapped and red and dry. I bought some baby vasoline and put it on her cheeks quite a bit but it seems like it just protects her from being wet all the time and doesnt really moisturize her skin.
My questions are: will regular baby lotion cause her face to break out since its fragranced?
I use some dove moisturizer for sensitive skin for myself, could I use that on her?? it is very gentle and unfragranced but moisturizes really good.
Or do you think I should just continue using the vasoline?? her poor cheeks are getting scaly
thanks!

I have really dry flaky skin and have been using petroleum jelly as a body moisturizer instead of regular lotion. I’m now 9 weeks into my pregnancy and I’m still using petroleum jelly to moisturize my body. Will that have a bad effect on my baby?

My daughter is 11 years old and her face is literally peeling it’s so dry! She cleans her face everyday and is using Johnson and Johnson squeeze soap and baby lotion. I’m not sure if it’s just the cold weather or not. Her blemishes are mild and only occured during theatre season. Still, she wishes for an acne solution as well. PLEASE HELP US!!! I have no clue what to get!

Since I’ve already had one basal cell carcinoma removed, I have to use a sunscreen all the time. But I need to find one that doesn’t irritate the eyes when a bit of it gets in there. Lately I’ve been using Aveeno Ultra-Calming Moisturizer with SPF 15, which I like but it does cause a lot of eye irritation if I sweat a bit or if I rub my eyes after touching my face.
So what is a good “no tears” sunscreen that causes no eye irritation and that isn’t greasy/oily? I know you might recommend a product for babies, and that’s OK, but if there is one that is part of a good daily moisturizer, that would be better. Thanks.

Now that the weather is nice and sunny I have been taking my 3 month old outside. I put a little SPF 50 Waterbabies on her cheeks, arms, and legs and noticed that within 15 minutes her dermatitis was cleared up! Her skin felt so smooth again, like when she was born! Has anyone else had this kind of success with suncreen? What would be making it clear up? Does it act as a good moisturizer?
