Well, I do have a little acne on my cheeks and forehead. I wash my face everyday and apply acne cream so it kinds of dries out on the sides of my nose and my chin and around my eyebrow area. Is it safe to put baby lotion on? Since my oily skin was the main cause of acne before.
Also, I have a small whitehead on the left side of my nose. I always freak when I see noticable acne on my face, so I tried squeezing it out with no luck. It’s still there and my nose bruised; giving this small purple color. I was wondering how do I get the whitehead out and how long will this bruising last? Also what should I do to heal the bruise?
Thanks!

Have you looked at this web site? It rates the safety of various baby lotions, diaper creams, baby wipes, baby washes… I found out that none of our products are considered safe.
This web site rates the safety of many different brands of baby lotion, baby wipes, powders, diaper creams, etc. I just went in and found that of the nine products we have on hand, six were rated and had a hazard rating anywhere from 3 to 6. The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics advises against using anything with a hazard rating higher than a 2. Needless to say, we will be making some changes starting today!
I noticed that many Mustela products seemed to rate really badly, with some listed as highly toxic and possibly cancer causing, etc. Many of the California Baby products were rated as safe. But Burts Bees did not fare as well as I had expected.http://www.cosmeticdatabase.com/browse.p…

I’m pet sitting for my neighbor’s four show dogs. One is due in a couple of weeks. They could really use a bath. They got terribly muddy. I’m not talking about like a flea bath or anything but just regular dog shampoo that I got from Pet Smart. It doesn’t say anything on the label about it being potentially harmful. If I shouldn’t use regular dog shampoo, what could I use? Would like a human baby shampoo be good? They are Shelties so they have really long, full coats. Thanks.

or using deluted bleach? I feel like just soap and water doesn’t get them clean enough because it doesn’t disinfect. What ways do you clean your babies toys?

I’m looking for a safe substitute for Personal Lubrication. I was wondering if non perfumey hand or body lotions were safe to use? such as Baby lotion?
Also I was wondering if there are any other common household products that were another safe substitute?
Thanks in advance for the serious answers!

After reasearching the amounts of harmful chemicals, soaps and perfumes that exist in baby products, I am looking for an alternative. I know that Cetaphil is recommended for use on babies, but what about Spectro Jel? It is fragrance free, ph balanced, and soap free. Is it safe to use on a baby?

I ran out of liquid detergent to clean my babies bottles, I have to do it a few times a day or I would put in dishwasher. I was wondering if it is safe to use antibacterial liquid soap to clean them if I rinse really well. I can’t take my baby out because it is so nasty out and he just got his shots yesterday.

But also i know that the powdered baby formulas are made with antifreeze but i know it is a very small amout. I am trying to figure out if it is really harmful to use the johnnson products
