This is the second baby, my niece is two years old, so they don’t need as much, but we still want to throw a shower to celebrate. My sister does not want to register for anything big, since she still has all the big stuff, so that’s why we are thinking of a bathtime theme…more like diapers, baby shampoo, powder…etc…etc… Any other suggestions would be welcomed…oh yeah…and i need help at how to word the invitation with the theme, if we do go with bathtime theme.

After i had my daughter the doctor and nurses in the hospital told me i could not lotion and powder her. which surprised and nearly kilt me because i love love love for babies to smell nice and fresh. they said she was “too new” i was told to wait a month or two even though her skin was dry and piling. well needless to say i did not wait a month or two to lotion her! so were you told that to or have you heard that after a baby is born you have to wait to lotion them? if so did you wait and how long did you wait? i am having a son in less than 2 weeks and it is absolutely going to drive me nuts that i can not lotion and power him especially because when they come out they don’t smell very fresh!!!!!

im pregnant, and have a daughter who will be 3 years old when this baby is born. we saved most of her baby things so we don’t really need much other than clothes (only if its a boy), diapers, wipes soaps, little things like that. would it still be ok to have a shower for this one. not so much for gifts but to just celebrate a new life. if it is ok how would you put that it isn’t necessary to bring gifts on the invitations? how many of you had showers for your second child?
