I just recently got a bunch of (used) toys from one of my aunts. I know my baby wont use them for months after she is born (and she isnt here yet) but who could say no to free toys? They were boxed up and in her garage for awhile, so i picked through them and got rid of any that could be a hazard or if they just looked really old. My question is how should i clean them? My mom said just soap and warm water. But i was thinking a little more? Should i use a cleaner and then soap and water or what do i do? What do you suggest??

My concern is that since our daughter is constantly sucking on her soft toys, I don’t want to introduce any soap into her system. So, if we do use soap, will it wash out in the rinse cycle even though the toy is very pretty thick with material (i.e. a fuzzy bear, etc.)?

I try to use soap and water….but was wondering if there is something out there like wet ones or something that you can just pull out and wash the toy off with. If there isn’t one I think that would be something cool to invent…that and pacifier wipes…for when your child drops it on the floor in the store and there is no bathroom in sight.

Hand wash?
Dishwasher?
I think the toys mention just to take a cloth with water/soap and scrub the surface.
Do you lay them on a towel to dry? Hang them up? Place in the dryer?
Thanks!

my baby has a lot of toys that he keeps chewing on, throwing on the floor, etc so I want to clean them as often as I can. His plastic toys are easy to clean. I just wash with soap and warm water but don’t know how to clean his soft toys that come with a label of surface cleaning only. What is the best way to clean such toys?
